The challenges of the health field are so complex that few disciplines alone can provide effective and sustainable solutions for them. The lack of complete pain relief for many sufferers and the limitations of single-disciplinary systems have made them resort to the knowledge of different and multi-disciplinary fields. Therefore, this has caused holistic thinking and teamwork to become increasingly prevalent in health researches, services, education and policy making. Therefore, the three main areas of interdisciplinary health activities that have many benefits for patients or those who refer to health care centers, health care professionals and health care systems are: health care, education and research. “Multidisciplinary” and “interdisciplinary” deal with as essential needs of the new complex world that requires information, studies and necessary coordination. Therefore, special attention is paid to the knowledge of interdisciplinary studies that cross traditional boundaries and provide a comprehensive understanding of contemporary health issues, biological and social determinants, human sciences and the impact of policy on health and wellness, and is focused on social sciences and applied health so that the background, knowledge and interdisciplinary skills are provided for entering health-related fields of study and employment. Multidisciplinary knowledge includes different disciplines that maintain their traditional boundaries, but interdisciplinary sciences go beyond these boundaries.
