Journal Article 2024 11 05 <strong>Background and Aims:</strong> Considering the necessity of integrating traditional medicine in modern academic medicine, it is necessary to evaluate and carefully consider the opportunities and challenges of complementary and alternative medicine in this integration, so that based on regulations and policy frameworks, Legal, ethical, regulatory, educational and research studies are necessary for each country or geographical area.<br /><strong>Material & methods:</strong>  This article was written using the books and articles available in real and virtual libraries in a descriptive-explanatory way.<br />Results:Integrating complementary medicine with all patie medicine brings many opportunities and at the same time challenges. The most important challenges are legal and ethical challenges, regulation, formulation and implementation of the training program and attention to research-orientedness and validity of research, especially complementary medicine clinical research. Every medical field needs legislation, control and legal supervision from inside or outside the organization. In addition to guaranteeing the quality, efficiency and reducing the risk of using tools and methods, this work prevents any abuse and fraud. This issue is more important in the field of complementary medicine, where there is a great need for a relationship based on trust between the therapist and the patient.<br /><strong>Conclusion:</strong> Integrating of traditional and complimentary medicine into conventional medicine, despite its many advantages, faces serious challenges that require appropriate stategies in the fields of law making, regulatory and quality control, education and research. In the legal field, it is necessary to have appropriate laws for the purpose of issuing employment licenses and clarifying the quality standards of specialists, including avoiding negligence and mistakes, and compensating for damages through increasing medical liability insurance coverage and ways to avoid legal liability, including acquiring Informed consent and privacy should be included in the rules. Regulation in both product and specialist sectors should be implemented carefully in terms of quality, safety and efficiency of products and methods <strong>زمینه و هدف:</strong> با توجه به­ ضرورت ادغام طب­ های سنتی و مکمل در طب مدرن آکادمیک، لازم است فرصت­ها و چالش­ های طب مکمل و جایگزین در این تلفیق به­ طورکلی مورد ارزیابی و دقت نظر قرار گیرد، تا براساس مقررات و چهارچوب­ های سیاست­ گذاری، قانونی اخلاقی، نظارتی، آموزشی و پژوهشی مطالعات لازم برای هرکشور یا حوزه جغرافیایی صورت گیرد.<br /><strong>روش تحقیق:</strong> این مقاله با استفاده ازکتاب­ها و مقالات موجود در کتابخانه‌های واقعی و مجازی به روش توصیفی-تشریحی نوشته شده­است.<br /><strong>یافته­ ها:</strong>  تلفیق طب سنتی و مکمل با طب مدرن فرصت­ ها و در عین حال چالش ­های متعددی به دنبال دارد. مهم­ترین چالش ­ها عبارتند از چالش ­های حقوقی و اخلاقی، رگولاسیون، تدوین و اجرای برنامه آموزش و توجه به پژوهش محور بودن و اعتبار تحقیقات به­ ویژه تحقیقات بالینی طب مکمل. هر حوزه پزشکی نیازمند قانون گذاری، کنترل و نظارت قانونی از داخل یا خارج سازمان‌ می‌باشد. این کار علاوه بر تضمین کیفیت، کارآیی و کاستن از ریسک کاربرد ابزارها و روش­ها، مانع از هرگونه سوء­استفاده و کلاهبرداری می‌شود. این موضوع در حوزه طب مکمل که نیاز فراوانی به رابطه مبتنی بر اعتماد بین درمانگر و بیمار است، از اهمیت بیشتری برخوردار می­ باشد.<br /><strong>نتیجه­ گیری:</strong> ادغام طب­ های سنتی و مکمل به طب مدرن با وجود مزایای متعدد با چالش­ های جدی مواجه است که نیازمند راهکارهای مناسب در حوزه­ های قانونگذاری، نظارت و کنترل کیفی، آموزش و پژوهش می­ باشد. در حوزه حقوقی لازم است قوانین مقتضی به ­منظور صدور پروانه اشتغال و تبیین استاندارد­های کیفی متخصصان و ازجمله در پرهیز از سهل­ انگاری و خطا و جبران خسارت از طریق افزایش پوشش بیمه مسئولیت پزشکی و راهکارهای پرهیز از مسئولیت قانونی ازجمله کسب رضایت آگاهانه و رعایت حریم خصوصی در قوانین لحاظ شوند. رگولاسیون در دو بخش محصولات و متخصصان نیز باید با دقت برکیفیت، ایمنی و کارآیی محصولات و روش­ها به اجرا درآیند.
